  • "Vehicle" includes the vehicle, keys, documents, accessories, equipment, tyres and installed electronic/telematics systems.
  • "Rental Period" begins with authorised handover and ends only when the Vehicle is returned to the Rideus-designated return

location and accepted/recovered by Rideus.

  • "Security Deposit" means the security amount collected against damage, traffic violations, e-challans, tolls, late return, fuel,

cleaning, recovery and other contractual liabilities.

  • "Authorised Driver" means the Customer or another person expressly approved by Rideus.
2

  • Signature.
  • Digital or OTP acceptance.
  • Payment.
  • Website/application acceptance.
  • Communication confirmation.
  • Acceptance of Vehicle possession.

Booking-specific conditions concerning Vehicle category, age, Security Deposit, kilometres, geographical restrictions, delivery, rental duration or pricing form part of the Agreement.

3

ELIGIBILITY OF DRIVER

  • The primary driver must be at least 22 years of age on the date of handover.
  • Premium, luxury, high-performance or specially classified Vehicles may require a higher minimum age.
  • The Customer must possess a valid driving licence authorising the applicable Vehicle category throughout the Rental Period.
  • Learner's licences are not accepted unless Rideus expressly permits such use in writing and such use is legally permissible.
  • The Customer must be physically and mentally fit to drive.
  • The Vehicle must not be operated under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, intoxicants or any impairing substance.
  • Rideus may refuse handover where eligibility, documents, payment, safety or lawful verification requirements are not satisfied.
4

The Customer must provide:

  • Original valid driving licence.
  • Aadhaar Card or other government-issued photo identification.
  • Valid address proof.
  • College/Institution ID where required for students.

  • Any additional document reasonably required for verification.

Document Verification:

  • Rideus may require copies of documents and a live photograph for pre-verification.
  • Original documents must be produced at the time of pickup.
  • Copies do not replace original document verification.
  • Forged, altered or materially misleading documents may result in cancellation/refusal and reporting to competent authorities

where required or permitted by law.

  • Failure to satisfy mandatory verification requirements may result in cancellation and applicable deductions.
5

BOOKING AND PAYMENT

  • A booking is confirmed only when the Vehicle is available.
  • Required payment must be received.
  • Required documents must be successfully verified.

  • Payment alone does not guarantee handover where verification remains incomplete.

6

SECURITY DEPOSIT

Indicative Security Deposit:

  • Hatchback/Sedan: Rs. 2,000
  • SUV: Rs. 3,000
  • Premium Vehicle: Rs. 10,000

Rideus may prescribe a different Security Deposit depending on:

  • Vehicle category.
  • Booking duration.

  • Customer profile.
  • Operational or security requirements.

The Security Deposit may secure:

  • Vehicle damage.
  • Traffic violations.
  • E-challans.
  • Toll charges.
  • Parking penalties.
  • Late return.
  • Fuel shortage.
  • Excessive cleaning.
  • Missing accessories.
  • Unauthorised use.
  • Restricted-zone travel.
  • Recovery charges.
  • Other legally recoverable liabilities.

The Security Deposit is security and does not constitute a cap on the Customer's total liability. Charges identified at return may be payable separately and are not automatically settled merely because a Security Deposit was collected. Rideus may retain an appropriate portion of the Security Deposit against pending or reasonably anticipated liabilities, subject to applicable law.

7

CANCELLATION, MODIFICATION AND NO-SHOW

Cancellation:

  • Cancellation more than 24 hours before pickup: Rs. 500 deduction and eligible balance refund.

  • Customer-requested Vehicle change/swap: Rs. 500 processing charge.
  • No-show: where the Customer does not collect the Vehicle within 6 hours of scheduled pickup without prior

communication/approval, Rideus may treat the booking as cancelled and deduct Rs. 1,500. Eligible refunds shall ordinarily be initiated within 7 working days, subject to banking/payment timelines.

8

VEHICLE HANDOVER AND CONDITION

  • The Customer shall inspect the Vehicle before departure.
  • Existing damage should be recorded through inspection reports, photographs, video or other records.

for operational, insurance, legal and dispute-resolution purposes, subject to applicable law.

9

AUTHORISED DRIVERS AND VEHICLE CUSTODY

  • Only an Authorised Driver may operate the Vehicle.
  • The Customer shall not lend or sub-rent the Vehicle.
  • The Customer shall not transfer possession without Rideus approval.
  • The Customer shall not allow an unauthorised person to drive.
  • The Customer shall not use another person's documents for Vehicle operation.

  • Merely informing Rideus does not constitute approval.
  • Unauthorised relocation may result in relocation/recovery charges.
  • Additional rental charges may apply.
  • Security Deposit adjustment may apply.
  • Rideus may terminate the rental and recover the Vehicle where legally permissible.
  • Actual legally recoverable losses and expenses may also be claimed.
11

RESTRICTED AND PROHIBITED LOCATIONS

The following locations are restricted/prohibited:

  • Kandhamal District
  • Boudh District
  • Mahendragiri
  • Similipal
  • Lulung

Mayurbhanj District:

Unauthorised travel into a restricted area may attract:

  • Rs. 5,000 contractual charge.
  • Recovery/relocation charges.
  • Applicable towing or transportation charges.
  • Additional actual legally recoverable costs.

Where restricted travel creates material safety, security, insurance or operational risk, Rideus may require immediate return and terminate the Rental Period. Rideus may take lawful steps to recover its Vehicle and associated reasonable costs.

12

OUT-OF-ODISHA TRAVEL

Travel outside Odisha must be disclosed and approved before commencement. Unless otherwise approved in writing:

  • 24-hour bookings are limited to 300 KM one-way from the pickup location.
  • 12-hour bookings are limited to 150 KM one-way from the pickup location.

These limits do not override restricted-location provisions.

13

UNLIMITED KILOMETRES

Unlimited kilometres apply only where expressly included in the applicable booking/package. Unlimited-kilometre packages may apply to eligible normal-range Vehicles for bookings of 24 hours or more, subject to package conditions. Unlimited kilometres do not mean unrestricted geographical travel. The Customer remains bound by:

  • Restricted locations.
  • Out-of-Odisha conditions.
  • Booking duration.
  • Vehicle category.
  • Package conditions.
  • Safety requirements.
  • Any booking-specific kilometre conditions communicated by Rideus.

The exact terms of any unlimited-kilometre package shall be communicated at booking and shall form part of the Agreement.

14

  • Extensions must be requested before the scheduled return time.
  • Extensions are subject to Vehicle availability.

Unauthorised retention after expiry constitutes a breach and may result in additional rental, recovery and other legally recoverable charges.

15

PERMITTED USE

The Vehicle shall be used only for lawful personal/tourism transportation. Unless expressly authorised, the Vehicle shall not be used for:

  • Taxi or passenger-for-hire operations.
  • Commercial transportation.

  • Applicable recovery costs.
  • Government penalties.
  • Actual damages.
  • Other legally recoverable losses.
17

ALCOHOL, DRUGS, SMOKING AND PETS

The following are prohibited inside the Vehicle unless expressly authorised:

  • Smoking.

  • Actual damage/restoration costs where applicable.
  • Applicable legal or governmental penalties.
18

SPEED AND DRIVING BEHAVIOUR

The Customer must comply with all applicable traffic laws and posted speed limits. Where the Rideus policy prescribes an 80 km/h threshold:

  • Speed above 80 km/h may attract Rs. 200 per recorded instance.
  • Multiple speed violations may result in Security Deposit forfeiture OR Rs. 2,000 contractual charge, depending on the

circumstances and subject to applicable law.

  • Dangerous driving may result in immediate termination.
  • Reckless driving may result in Vehicle recovery.
  • Racing, speed testing or competition is strictly prohibited.
  • Repeated extreme speeding may be treated as a material breach.
19

TRAFFIC FINES, E-CHALLANS AND GOVERNMENT PENALTIES

The Customer is responsible for traffic violations attributable to their possession or use of the Vehicle during the Rental Period, including:

  • E-challans.
  • Speeding fines.
  • Parking penalties.
  • Toll violations.
  • Traffic penalties.
  • Government notices.

E-challans may be generated after Vehicle return. Return of the Vehicle does not extinguish responsibility for violations committed during the Rental Period. Rideus may:

  • Retain an appropriate amount of the Security Deposit against pending or reasonably anticipated e-challans.
  • Recover such amounts from the Customer.
  • Provide Customer information to competent authorities where legally required.
  • Recover applicable administrative or legally permissible charges.
20

FUEL AND FASTAG

  • The Customer bears all fuel costs.
  • The Vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as supplied.
  • Fuel shortages may attract fuel and refuelling charges.
  • Applicable service charges may be added.
  • Fastag/toll charges incurred during the Rental Period are payable by the Customer unless expressly included.
  • Fuel and Fastag recharges are non-refundable unless Rideus agrees otherwise.
21

CLEANLINESS AND VEHICLE CONDITION

The Vehicle must be returned in substantially the same reasonable condition, allowing ordinary wear and tear. Charges may apply for:

  • Excessive dirt.
  • Stains.
  • Food contamination.
  • Smoking residue.
  • Pet contamination.
  • Foul odour.
  • Abnormal contamination.
  • Damage caused by misuse.

Actual damage/restoration costs may be charged separately.

22

ACCIDENT, DAMAGE AND INSURANCE

For covered accidental damage, applicable Customer liability may be:

  • Normal Vehicles: up to Rs. 25,000.
  • Premium Vehicles: up to Rs. 75,000.

The applicable liability remains subject to:

  • Vehicle category.
  • Rental Agreement.
  • Insurance terms.
  • Booking conditions.
  • Applicable law.

Rideus may submit applicable insurance claims, but insurance does not automatically eliminate Customer liability. The Customer may remain liable for:

  • Insurance exclusions.
  • Unauthorised driving.
  • Intoxicated driving.
  • Prohibited use.
  • Deliberate damage.
  • Failure to report an accident.
  • Policy violations.
  • Negligence or reckless conduct.
  • Other applicable insurance exclusions.

Applicable insurance excess/deductible is payable where provided under the applicable arrangement. Where damage makes a Vehicle unavailable for rental, Rideus may recover applicable loss-of-use/downtime charges where agreed and legally recoverable.

22.6 DOWNTIME / LOSS-OF-USE CHARGES

Where the Customer elects or is required to proceed through an applicable insurance claim for damage, accident, theft or loss of the Vehicle, the Customer shall remain liable for applicable downtime/loss-of-use charges on a per-day basis for the period the Vehicle remains unavailable for normal rental operations. Period of Liability:

  • Completion of repairs and restoration to roadworthy/rentable condition.
  • Inspection and handover of the repaired Vehicle to Rideus.
  • Settlement of the applicable insurance claim and corresponding Vehicle/claim settlement process.
  • Another date when Rideus reasonably determines that the Vehicle has been restored to operational/rentable status or the claim

has been finally settled. Daily Rate:

  • The daily downtime charge shall ordinarily be based on the applicable or prevailing daily rental rate for the relevant Vehicle

category.

  • A different rate may apply where expressly specified in the booking or rental agreement.
  • A partial day may be treated as a full rental day where the Vehicle remains unavailable for rental for that day, subject to

applicable law. Insurance and Downtime:

  • Insurance coverage does not automatically waive a separate loss-of-use/downtime claim.
  • Such recovery shall apply only to the extent legally permissible and contractually agreed.
  • The Customer remains responsible for applicable insurance-related liabilities.

Total Loss or Theft:

  • Declared total loss.
  • Vehicle stolen and not recovered.
  • Vehicle permanently unavailable for Rideus' use.

Applicable downtime/loss-of-use charges may continue until applicable insurance settlement or other settlement/replacement, subject to the Rental Agreement, insurance policy and applicable law. Customer Cooperation:

  • Rideus.
  • Insurance company.
  • Police authorities.
  • Surveyors.
  • Other competent authorities.

The Customer must provide all documents, statements, photographs, reports and information reasonably required for processing the claim. Any delay caused by the Customer's failure, refusal or unreasonable delay in providing required cooperation or documentation may extend the period for which the Customer remains liable for applicable downtime and other legally recoverable costs. No Double Recovery: Rideus shall not seek duplicate recovery of the same loss where such recovery is prohibited by law or has already been fully compensated through another legally recognised source.

23

ACCIDENT PROCEDURE

In the event of an accident or incident, the Customer shall:

  • Immediately contact Rideus.
  • Contact the police or competent authority where required.
  • Obtain necessary police reports and documents.
  • Provide photographs and relevant information.
  • Cooperate with the insurance company.
  • Cooperate with Rideus' investigation.
  • Not abandon the Vehicle except where necessary for immediate safety.
  • Not make unauthorised admissions or settlements on behalf of Rideus.

Failure to promptly report an accident may prejudice insurance and increase Customer liability to the extent legally recoverable.

24

MECHANICAL FAILURE

For genuine mechanical failure not caused by misuse:

  • Rideus shall make reasonable efforts to provide assistance.
  • Where feasible, Rideus may provide an alternative Vehicle or appropriate solution.
  • The Customer must immediately report warning lights.
  • The Customer must immediately report overheating.
  • The Customer must report unusual noises.
  • The Customer must report electrical, braking or tyre issues.
  • The Customer must not continue driving where doing so may cause further damage.

Continuing to drive despite a serious warning or Rideus instruction to stop may create liability where the Customer causes or aggravates damage.

25

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE

Rideus provides reasonable roadside assistance subject to:

  • Location.
  • Availability.
  • Circumstances.
  • Operational limitations.

Where assistance is required due to Customer-caused circumstances, applicable costs may be charged, including:
